The unique wedge cluster is the heart of the system, and it addresses all of the issues found on ordinary cranks. The wedge cluster design optimizes the arm‚ interface, simplifies assembly, and makes use of a durable and replaceable elastic retainer band. One problem this interface eliminates is the ankle-biting, bolt-loaded chunks of aluminum and steel found on pinch bolt cranks. Twombolt also eliminate the difficult installations and seemingly endless loosening and wobble issues found on archaic “hammer on/off” spline designs.
